What does Carte Blanche Parties do?2024-03-06T18:49:16+00:00

Carte Blanche Parties is dedicated to planning the most memorable celebrations of your life. We are the one-stop-shop for bachelorette and bachelor parties, also known as stagettes & stags, or hens and bucks, depending on where you’re from! Although we specialize in these pre-wedding parties, we also plan amazing adult birthday parties, divorce parties, non-gender specific celebrations, girls getaways, guys trips, corporate events and more. 

After selecting your destination, simply choose to either a) build your own custom package using our “build & price” system, b) select one of our off-the-rack packages, or c) have one of our planners create a custom package based on your interests.  Our packages contain 3 or more “experiences”. Experiences are categorized as either daytime activities, nightlife & entertainment, dining or transportation.

Book your package, then receive a link where other guests can pay separately – and we take care of the rest. In other words, you pay us a set price per person for a package and we book and pay for your experiences in that package. You just show up and enjoy! 

We’re proud to offer party packages in Banff, Calgary, Edmonton, Kelowna, Toronto, Vancouver & Whistler in Canada, as well as Mykonos and Santorini in Greece, and Ibiza, Spain.

What if my group size changes?2022-09-21T13:16:11+00:00

This is the most common question we hear from our clients, and with good reason — group size changes happen often. Luckily, Carte Blanche Parties has the perfect solution! Our build & price system allows you to input your MIN and MAX group size — so you don’t have to know your exact number to book, you just need to know a range. 

7 days before the party, we look at how many guest payments have been made towards your party – and that will be your confirmed number of guests. 

After the 7 day mark, no refunds will be issued for guest cancellations even if the new group size would be within your original group size range.

What if I fall short of the minimum number of guests originally indicated?2022-09-21T13:18:16+00:00

Your group is responsible for paying the cost of the minimum # of guests even if you fall short of this number. Please choose your minimum number of guests thoughtfully. If the minimum # of guests is not paid for by the 7 day mark, your booking will be cancelled and your original deposit of 1 person’s cost will not be returned.

What if there are more guests who want to participate than the MAX # you indicated?2022-10-26T13:25:56+00:00

We always try our best to accommodate changes. So if it’s possible in terms of availability, we will add them in, even at the last minute. It should be noted that each extra guest will have to pay the same per person price for the party.

What if I want to book less than 7 days in advance?2022-10-26T13:21:45+00:00

We will always do our best to accommodate last minute bookings, however we can’t always guarantee them.

Bookings made 7 days or less in advance must make a deposit equal to the cost of 4 guests and must pay the remaining balance by 48 hours before the start of their event. These groups will still indicate MIN and MAX group size, and their confirmed number of guests will be the number of guests who have been paid for at 48 hours before the event. Additionally, a 15% last minute fee will apply to these bookings.

When booking 7 days or less in advance, our standard cancellation policy does not apply. All payments received will be non-refundable.

Is transportation between experiences included?2022-09-21T13:28:10+00:00

Transportation between experiences is NOT included by default. However, you may add transportation experiences (i.e. Limo – 1 hr) when building your package. Furthermore, the vast majority of our dining options and nightlife experiences are centrally-located and usually within walking distance of each other. 

How can I pay?2022-09-21T13:36:01+00:00

When you would like to book a package, all you need to do is make an initial deposit (the cost of one guest). After making your deposit, you will receive a payment link which you can share with everyone in your group so that guests can pay separately. Our system also has the option of splitting the guest of honour’s cost among the rest of the group.

Payments are taken securely through PayPal. PayPal accepts Visa, Mastercard, American Express and other major credit cards without needing a PayPal account.

Is there a minimum number of experiences required to create a package?2024-03-06T18:51:52+00:00

Yes, in order for you to receive the best value on your package, we require 3 experiences as a minimum. Experiences can include things like a taxi ride, or a pub dinner, therefore you won’t need to break the bank to book a package with us!

The more experiences you add, the more you save. Our pricing system is programmed to give you better and better value with each additional experience you add!

Can we book a party OTHER than bachelor or bachelorette?2024-03-06T18:53:40+00:00

Yes, you can absolutely book other events through us a well! It’s the exact same process as creating a bachelor or bachelorette with us. 

What is the cancellation policy?2022-09-21T13:49:10+00:00

Any parties cancelled prior to one week before the event date, will receive a full refund less the original deposit (price of one person). If you cancel within 7 days of your party, all payments are non-refundable.

What if one of our experiences is cancelled?2022-10-26T13:08:58+00:00

Although it happens very rarely, if one of your experiences is cancelled you have two options. 1.) You will have the opportunity to choose a substitute experience which we will present to you. 2.) Alternatively, you can obtain a refund equal to the retail value of the cancelled experience.

What happens if the weather interrupts an outdoor experience?2022-10-26T13:07:04+00:00

We always work with our providers and trust their decision on the continuation of activities in these situations. For outdoor experiences, if the experience operator cancels the experience due to bad weather, you will have the same two options as you would with any experience cancellation (see policy regarding experience cancellation). 

However, if the experience operator deems that the weather not bad enough to cancel the experience, the group will not benefit from the above-mentioned options. 

Can accommodation be included?2022-10-26T13:02:52+00:00

Unfortunately, accommodation is NEVER included in any of our packages. However, we are glad to provide recommendations. Most of our experiences take place centrally or in the downtown area. We always recommend that it is most practical to stay at a hotel/rental in a central location.

Can I reach a Carte Blanche Parties representative on the day of or during my party?2024-03-06T19:03:06+00:00

What if some people don’t want to participate in certain activities?2022-10-26T12:58:00+00:00

Even if not everyone wants to participate in all experiences, everyone in your party is still required to pay the same per person price. However, you can create two separate bookings (i.e. one for Friday, one for Saturday) if needed. For example, if you wish to include different numbers of guests, differing activities, though there must be a minimum of 3 or more experiences for each booking.

Is alcohol included in experiences?2024-03-06T19:05:41+00:00

Regulations regarding the sale of alcohol vary from jurisdiction to jurisdiction, therefore we are unable to include alcoholic beverages with our experiences in some of our locations. Alcohol is only included if it is specifically mentioned that it is in the experience description. 

How about if I want to include an experience which is not listed in the experiences offered?2024-03-06T19:10:30+00:00

Yes! When requesting a planner to help create a package for you, indicate the special experiences you would like included. While we cannot guarantee we will be able to accommodate your experience request, we will certainly do our best to find a suitable option.

Do all of the guests have to be the age of majority?2024-03-06T19:11:14+00:00

As a general rule of thumb, everyone has to be 18+ or 19+ (depending on destination). However, we can make exceptions depending on the experiences that your package includes. We must be notified of the possibility of a minor prior to booking your party and we will inform you if it is possible.

Can we just get a price list of all experiences?2024-03-06T19:12:42+00:00

Unfortunately it is not possible as prices for each experience vary based on numerous factors, such as season, your group size (minimum and maximum number of attendees), the number of experiences in your package and more.

Remember, our pricing system is designed so that the more experiences you add, the more you save.
